House
De Boer
- Location: Constantia
- Decorator: Client
- Landscape Designer: Alan Dawson
The De Boers bought their house once construction had commenced. The original Dutch client’s brief was for a traditional building with extensive entertainment areas and numerous bedrooms. When the De Boers purchased, they requested a very contemporary interior within the confines of the traditional structure.
The design was restricted by a steeply sloping site, an onerous height restriction, and the views of False Bay to the South. The elongated design enabled one to capture the North light too.
