The footprint of the existing single storey dwelling was used as the starting point for the design. Previously, one entered the house from the North. The location of the existing dwelling allowed one to relocate the garaging and enter from the South. This also allowed for additional off-street parking. The area to the North of the dwelling was raised and leveled, allowing for a user-friendly garden and play space. The planning allows for an easy flow between relaxed spaces.
