House Nixon had been altered and extended several times before and had become disjointed.  The house is well located on a magnificent South facing site with commanding views of False Bay.  The garaging was previously on two levels with limited parking to the South of the property.

Considerable amounts of soil were excavated and substantial retaining walls built to create an entrance with presence.

The house was extended extensively and bay windows introduced to bring North light in from the rear of the house.

Numerous constraints ultimately resulted in a very successful alteration.
